Title | Twins 99 Volume 1 – How Heroes Start Chapter 1: The Unrealistic Becomes Realistic |
Content | My name is Javon Isaiah Sankoh. And, I have to be honest. My life is boring. I live with my twin brother and my dad. My brother’s name is Jovan Evan Sankoh.
Our first day at Porcupine High School starts tomorrow! Yes, it is a horrible name. However, this is a BIG moment! This is the time in anime where the main character’s whole life changes from one single event! This could turn my colorless life around! I could become a badass superhero and have a girlfriend.
Yeah right, like I’d get THAT lucky. In middle school, I was a complete NOBODY. I knew people, but I wouldn't consider them friends. I only hung out with five people and they were all guys. That includes Jovan and Jordan.
Jordan is a good friend of mine. I’ve known him ever since the start of middle school. He is one of the only people that can tell the difference between me and Jovan. I couldn’t make friends with any girls. I made acquaintances, but they turned into strangers.
I just don’t know how to talk to them. Still, I know what to do with a girl because of the anime I watched. Depending on the girl, you have to either be the sensitive and caring type or the aggressive type. I try to do a little of both, yet I still fail in the process.
Last year in eighth grade, I walked up to a pretty girl in my class who had lapis blue hair and indigo eyes. She was absolutely beautiful, but I wasn't looking at her face. I was looking at her animated ass. Goodness gracious, I had to be friends with her. She was the most popular girl in school. She dropped her pencil.
“Oh, you dropped this.”
I picked up the pencil and gave it to her.
“Thank you.”
“Your welcome.”
“Oh, I know you. You’re a twin. Which one are you?”
“I am Javon Sankoh. The other one is Jovan and it is a pleasure to meet you.”
“Hi, Javon, my name is Carol Sanders.”
The pretty lapis blue haired girl greeted me with a cute smile that made me a little more nervous than I already was.
“Sanders? You must love going to the beach. Get it, sand.”
I joked as I walked closer to Carol while keeping a friendly grin on my face. God, that was a horrible joke!
“I actually do.”
Carol replied while giggling.
“You actually thought that was funny?”
I wondered, looking stunned since I thought that it was the most corniest joke I had ever said.
“No, I was just being nice.”
She honestly answered with no change in her voice.
“Oh.”
I responded with a low tone in my voice. Man, brutal honesty must be her policy. There goes my boner. Crap, I don't know what to talk about.
“I, um, like your, um, eyes.”
I stuttered, trying to compliment Carol. Dammit, I hesitated.
“Thanks.”
Good, a normal response. But, I don't want a normal response. I want to see those adorable pink cheeks that appear when a girl blushes.
“They’re blue, like the ocean.”
I stared into her eyes so she would assume that I'm actually enchanted by them.
“They make me feel like I’m lost at sea.”
I added, sounding sincere and romantic. That was a clever line if I do say so myself.
“Oh, um, thank you.”
Carol immediately blushed which made her cheeks red. There it is! That's the pink cheeks I was talking about. She looks so animated!
“You know, Javon, I think I…”
Carol started to speak with a gentle voice. Oh my god, she’s about to say that she LIKES me! This is a dream come true! We just met and she already feels something for me! I guess I know who my first girlfriend is going to be! We had the perfect atmosphere.
Suddenly, I felt a push and we both fell to the floor. I ended up on top of her and my mouth was…
Inside her mouth. I literally tasted her tongue. It tasted sweeter than candy. And to top it off, my hands were on her breasts. They felt even bigger than what they looked like! Maybe, it was the size of my fingers. Whatever, I didn’t care! Honestly, I felt like I was in a dream.
Specifically, an anime. Then, it hit me. Classic anime cliche. And if the girl isn’t in love with you, it’s a real bitch. However, she was about to admit she liked me so it might not be so bad.
She immediately slapped me. It happened so fast that I didn't realize she smacked me until my face was turned around and saliva came out of my mouth.
“GET OFF ME!”
Carol angrily demanded while looking away with an embarrassed face.
“Oh, sorry!”
I stood up, got off of her, and wiped the saliva off my face. She rose up with a completely bashful face. That's how you know that was her first kiss. It was mine, too. So, I can’t talk.
“I can't believe you, you, you kissed me.”
Carol awkwardly stuttered with pink cheeks.
“Don't forget groped.”
I commented without thinking. What is wrong with me?! Why the HELL would I say that?!
“You pervert!”
“Come on, I didn't plan that!"
"Then, why are you smiling?!"
"Uh, because this situation is funny."
I answered with an obvious grin on my face.
"Liar, you said all of those things to get close to me and you tripped yourself to kiss me and touch my boobs!"
Carol ridiculously claimed while still having an ashamed look on her face.
"Again, how could I possibly plan all of that?!"
"Well, what am I supposed to think?!"
"That you've seen this same thing on multiple anime and manga so it's obviously not my fault."
Carol was speechless for a bit. She looked at me like I just made the dumbest excuse.
“You kissed me.”
She totally ignored what I just said!
“That was an accident!”
“You still grabbed my chest.”
“That was also an accident!”
I half-heartedly repeated.
“Whatever, just stay away from me.”
She bitterly walked away while all of the girls in class gave me furious looks. I cannot believe I blew my chance with the most popular girl in school! This seriously sucks! My first kiss got ruined! There is absolutely nothing to be happy about. Well, besides the fact that I kissed and touched a girl.
It wasn’t my fault! And now, every girl in class thinks I tried to raped her. I don't blame them. I kissed her and touched her breast without permission. I gave them their proof.
Alright, who pushed me?! I turned around and saw three friends of mine. They were laughing uncontrollably.
“You assholes! What did you do that for?!”
I asked all of them with a frustrated look on my face.
“Come on, man, we couldn’t let you bag a babe in eighth grade.”
“Yeah, that’s like having sex in kindergarten.”
Two of my friends replied with stupid smirks on their face.
“No, it isn’t!”
I quickly commented with a slightly higher tone of voice. They are so immature.
“Plus, it was bound to happen eventually.”
My third friend added.
“What the hell does that mean?!”
I furiously questioned while looking at the three friends of mine.
“It means they either would have gotten jealous and messed you up…”
“Or you would have magically ruined your chance like what you just did.”
Jovan and Jordan answered with unsurprised voices as I turned around and noticed them.
“That wasn’t my fault! It was those V-watches!”
Man, that was a bad comeback. The three guys looked at their wrists to check if they had watches. They clearly didn't.
“Horrible comeback. Did he get that from Viewtiful Joe?”
The three guys mentioned, looking dumbfounded. They really looked to see if they had watches? Idiots.
“Now, we know who's the worse with girls out of all of us.”
Jovan mocked me and laughed afterwards.
“Shut up! Wait, you two just watched them do this?!”
I questioned Jovan and Jordan.
“Yeah. If you got a girl, you’d just be a jerk about it and talk about how we’re all virgins.”
Wow, Jordan. And, I considered you family. Wait...
“You're right. I probably would have. Except, you all are virgins. I don't need a girlfriend to tell you that.”
“You're a virgin too!”
Jordan and the three guys immediately responded with rage.
“I think we all have a different definition of the word ‘virgin’. Okay, what about you, Jovan, my brother in my actual FAMILY?”
We all glanced at Jovan.
“What Jordan said, I guess. Except the virgin thing. I’ve already had a girlfriend.”
We all instantly went silent because we realized that Jovan is the only one in the group who had a girlfriend.
“Screw you guys.”
I ended the conversation. That one thing messed up my chances with girls in middle school. Every girl assumed I was a disgusting pervert and didn't bother talking to me. I just wish I could have made of friends with at least one girl. But, that was middle school.
High school has girls from several other schools. Not every girl is gonna know I’m a pervert. And, that’s just one positive. A whole bunch of things can happen on the first day of school! It's time to start my boring life anew.
The next day, Monday, March 31, 2014.
Jovan and I wake up for our first day of school. I feel ecstatic. I am about to go to high school. Today is the day my life changes. We got dressed and prepared to leave for school.
“Hey, make sure you don't cause any anime-like accidents.”
Jovan mocks me while watching an anime where the main character trips and falls on a girl. The main character accidentally gropes the girl's boobs.
“Like that.”
“Shut up.”
Of course, he still remembers. Ugh, he's such a pain.
"Do you two have everything you need?"
Dad interrupts, not caring about what we were talking about.
"Yes."
We both reply.
“How are the uniforms?”
“Good.”
“Feels weird.”
Jovan and I answer differently.
“What do you mean?”
Dad worries.
“This is the first time I've ever worn a uniform for school.”
I explain while looking at my uniform which basically is a black two-button blazer, black suit pants, black dress shoes, and a white long sleeved dress shirt with a tie.
"Well, get used to it. Have a good first day of school."
Dad unkindly replies.
"We will, bye."
He didn’t have to sound so heartless. We exit our house and eventually make it to school by bus.
"Jo, this is it."
We're standing outside of the school’s doors.
"I know. It's your chance to start over as something besides a ‘hentai’."
Jovan says on purpose.
"You're such a dick.”
We open one of the doors and go inside Porcupine High School.
“Dang.”
“There's no way that all of these people are from America.”
Jovan and I are surprised at the amount of students in this school. I guess we should have expected this. This is a brand new school. And, it is the first school in the United States that is imitating Japanese schools, which is why we are wearing Japanese school uniforms. Later on, we enter our classroom on the third floor.
"Oh, we have the same class."
Jovan notices as we step into the same classroom.
“We walked beside each other in the same direction for ten minutes and went in the elevator together. What did you expect?”
I point out to Jovan.
“Well, I didn’t expect that we’d be allowed to use the elevator. This school is new.”
Jovan replies. I didn’t think so either. Most schools usually save the elevators for disabled students. They probably did that because of the amount of students in this school.
“You two look ugly in your school uniforms. You look like you go to private school.”
Who was that? I know that voice. We look around and see Jordan.
"Right back at you."
"Well, our school is experimenting with how Japanese schools do things so we have to wear these."
Jovan and I reply while shaking hands with Jordan.
“I know and I’m not against it. In fact, I’m glad our school is doing this since our summer was ten months long because of it.”
“Yeah, I don't think the principal had to do that. The last day of school for us in eighth grade was in June and for Japanese schools, school starts in April. That's probably what confused the principal. However, we're starting school at the end of March.”
Jovan adds, feeling smart.
“Anyway, how was your summer?”
I wonder since I haven't seen Jordan in a while.
"It was fine. I didn't really do anything."
Jordan replies.
"Oh."
We disappointingly say.
"What did you expect?!"
"A longer answer."
Jovan cleverly responds and I laugh after he says it.
"Oh please, you two probably didn't do anything either."
"Yeah, your answer would have made our summer sound interesting."
Jovan sarcastically adds.
"Shut up."
Jordan quickly comments.
Unfortunately, Jordan is right. Our summer was boring too. All we did was watch anime and play video games.
I look across the classroom and see none other than Carol Sanders. She stares at me then she instantly looks away in a hateful manner. Man, out of all people to be in the same class as me. I have to make sure she doesn't spread rumors about what happened last year. I casually walk towards Carol.
“Hey, Carol.”
“Which one are you?”
Carol kindly asks.
“Javon.”
“Why are you here?”
She impolitely demands while staring at the wall. She completely changed her attitude when I told her my name. She won't even look at me.
“Don't be like that. How have you been? I’ve haven’t seen you in like 10 months.”
“I was fine about a few seconds ago.”
“What changed?”
I feel like I already know the answer.
“Your appearance.”
Carol disrespectfully answers. Of course.
“Alright, I’ll cut to the chase. Can you please not tell anyone about what happened in eighth grade.”
“Sure thing.”
“Really?”
I reply with excitement.
“Yeah, anything for the guy who groped me.”
She sarcastically responds. Damn, this girl is determined to ruin my life!
“And kissed me.”
Carol quietly says to herself and blushes.
“What did you say?”
I saw her mouth move, yet I didn’t hear what she said.
“Nothing, you can go now.”
Carol says after she turns around so that I can't see her face. Well, that's just rude. I leave and go back to Jovan and Jordan.
“How did it go?”
Jovan questions with a concerned voice.
“Not good.”
I confirm as I unhappily bow my head.
“I’m pretty sure we all went into the future and literally saw that coming beforehand. Still, it sucks that a hot chick, like her, hates you so much.”
Jordan cruelly states like I don't have feelings.
“Yeah, and her hair is blue.”
Jovan strangely adds. That was random.
"Hey, what's up, Jovan."
"It's been a while, Jovan."
"How's it going, Jovan?"
Three guys say as they walk up to me. Wow, they all confidently got my name wrong.
Oh, it's the STDs that infected me. And, I don't know their actual names.
"Hey, you, him, and that guy.”
I respond, praying that they'll think that's my normal response towards them.
"Seriously, you don't know our names!"
They immediately yell.
“You all just got my name wrong! It's Javon!”
I retort.
“That's different. You're a twin. It's common to get your name wrong.”
“Plus, we tried to guess your name.”
“You couldn't guess our names at all.”
The three guys clarify, winning the argument. Okay, they've got me there. Well, technically...
"It's not my fault that I never asked."
"His logic isn't even logic."
Jordan comments.
"So, who are you guys?"
Jovan asks since he also doesn't know their names.
“You didn't know either!”
The three boys realize and sigh afterwards.
"I’m Sebastian."
"I’m Tyler."
"And, I’m David."
The first letter in their names seriously says it. I quietly laugh.
"What's so funny?"
Sebastian questions with an annoyed face.
"Nothing, I'll save that joke for another time. Anyway, what’s up?"
"You see that purple poison over there?"
Sebastian points at the purple haired girl across the classroom.
"Yeah, she’s hot."
Jovan answers while staring at her.
"She puts the non out of fiction."
Jordan comments while his nose is slowly dripping blood.
"Right."
Tyler and David automatically say with drool falling from their mouth.
Yeah, she’s definitely from the anime world, but…
"I don’t know."
"What do you mean you don’t know?!"
They all wonder while looking at me like I'm retarded.
"She looks mysterious like a person who hides her true identity and fights crime at night as a superhero named the Purple Woman, who is the girlfriend of the Purple Man, who is a villain so she is actually a villain, however she’s still suffering from the pain of committing a crime so she doesn’t know what to do."
They immediately give me blank stares. All of the sudden, I feel like the weirdest person here.
"You read WAY too much manga and comics."
Jordan concludes and walks away.
"How did you even come up with that?"
Sebastian says as he leaves, looking confused.
"Javon, you think she’s hot, right?"
Tyler asks, worrying that Jovan might say the same thing I said because we're twins. He just got Jovan's name wrong.
"It's Jovan, but yeah."
“Oh, my bad. But, look on the bright side. Now, we only care about your opinion."
David declares with a merciless tone. We all start choosing our seats. I sit to the left of the classroom where the windows are, Jovan sits in the middle of the classroom, and Jordan sits in the front of the classroom. Sebastian, Tyler, and David sit away from me on the far right. Carol sits in front of them. After that, the teacher ambles into the classroom.
“Hello, kids, my name is Mr.Thomas and I am your English teacher. It’s a pleasure to meet all of you. We will now be starting class. I will begin taking roll.”
Mr. Thomas commences calling for students’ names. Of course, Jovan sits next to purple poison. He’s staring at her like she’ll disappear if he looks away.
“Man, she’s so beautiful. Alright, Jovan, calm down. Even if she’s a 2 x 5, that doesn’t mean I count the stars in her eyes. Son of a, who says 2 x 5?!”
Jovan thinks in his head as he tries to stop looking at the purple haired girl.
“That dude doesn’t even need to get whipped with the lasso of truth.”
“Yeah, you can see the purple poison in his eyes. He definitely has a thing for her.”
Jordan and I fool around.
“Oh, shut the hell up.”
Jovan says as he looks at me and Jordan..
“They’re still right though.”
“We saw you eye banging her from here.”
“Yeah, we got night vision and day vision goggles.”
David, Sebastian, and Tyler idiotically state.
“My god, if the acid didn’t make the Joker crazy, this crap would’ve.”
“Javon Sankoh.”
Mr. Thomas calls.
“Here.”
“Jovan Sankoh.”
“Here.”
Jovan repeats with the same voice
“Oh, so we have twins in class.”
Mr. Thomas realizes once he looks at both of us. Ah, damn it. Here comes the struggles of being a twin.
“Yes, we’re twins. I’m Javon.”
“And, I’m Jovan.”
“Wow, even your names are alike.”
Mr. Thomas observes in amazement. Everyone gazes at us, looking intrigued. They all quickly walk over to us. I think it's funny that no one cared about us being twins until the teacher pointed it out.
“Can you read each other’s minds?”
“Who was born first?”
“Can you feel each other’s pain?”
“Are you two always together?”
THE SAME QUESTIONS! OVER AND OVER AGAIN! I swear I wouldn't be surprised if someone asks if we can taste each other’s food. Jovan and I sigh.
“Whoever thought of your names didn’t put much thought into them.”
An unknown student says.
What did that guy just say?
“What did you just say?”
I angrily ask as I instantly appear in front of him.
“I want to know too.”
Jovan fiercely adds as he walks toward the student.
“Okay, I’m sorry I said anything. Please stop.”
The student frighteningly begs as if he sees dark energy surrounding me and Jovan.
“Everybody, calm down and take your seats.”
Mr. Thomas commands.
The student slowly crawls back to his seat while everyone else walks back to their seats. Mr. Thomas is right. We need to calm down. Jovan and I start going back to our seats.
“Whoa, for a second, Javon and Jovan looked serious.”
Jordan notes.
“You can say that again.”
Sebastian, Tyler, and David all agree.
The purple haired girl looks very shocked as she sees Jovan sit in his seat.
“I’m sorry you had to see that.”
Jovan apologizes.
“It’s okay, being a twin must be tough, huh.”
The purple haired girl wonders.
“You have no idea.”
Jovan puts his head down.
“My name is Selena Vanle.”
Jovan automatically picks his head back up.
“My name is Jovan Sankoh. It is nice to meet you.”
They both smile at each other.
“Sweet, God is blessing me.”
Jovan fantasizes in his head.
I sit in my seat. Man, I wonder what got over me. I felt different.
"Alright, let's begin class."
Mr. Thomas says. Mr. Thomas basically explains his rules and what he expects from us. He also gives us some papers for our parents to sign. The bell rings and we get going on to our next class. Math.
"Hey, Javon and Jovan, are you two okay?"
Jordan worries while we walk to our next class.
"We're fine."
Jovan and I calmly answer.
"Good, because for a second back there, you two looked like ‘The Terminators’."
"What are you talking about?"
Jovan questions.
"He's talking about how you two were about to prey him."
Sebastian says even as he walks behind us. Tyler and David are with him.
"I don’t think you used that word right."
I comment. In fact, I know he didn't use that word right.
"Anyhow, he's just saying that you two seriously looked as if you wanted revenge on that student."
Tyler explains.
"Yeah sure, we wanted vengeance on him because he dared to open his mouth and speak syllables that sounded like a sin covered in a sentence."
Jovan ironically claims.
"That’s the reason."
David wonders.
"There is NO reason!"
Jovan and I instantly scream. How many times do we have to say it?
"Okay, we get it. Keep your skin on."
Jordan states, sounding vexed.
"How do we know for sure?"
I ask, still feeling mad.
"Because our ears paid the damn price for it!"
Sebastian, Tyler, and David shout so loud in my ear that I go deaf. We walk inside math class and sit in the same seats as english class.
“I don’t consider what Javon and I did a bad thing. If anything, it was Cupid in disguise.”
Jovan concludes in his mind when he looks at Selena. Selena cheerfully smiles at him. What is with today?! Why do I see fire and brimstones?! My god, who says fire and brimstones? Whatever, nothing is happening! Today actually feels like…
SCHOOL!
Today is supposed to be the day that my life flashes in front my eyes! Wait, I need to mollify myself. The day isn’t over yet. Anything can STILL happen! I have to believe in the anime angels. The math teacher comes into the classroom.
“Hello, everybody, my name is Mrs. Miller and I am your math teacher. It is a pleasure to have all of you as my students. Let’s begin class. Emm Behey.”
Mrs. Miller announces as she starts taking roll.
“Here.”
A male student obediently responds with a french accent. His name is literally three letters. MBA. I look out the windows, feeling bored. Who in the DC Comics?! I see a big blue skinned guy outside! I feel so frightened now. Calm down, Javon, I have to be imagining things. There's no way an alien who looks exactly like Darkseid is outside of my school. I look out the windows again. I still see the Darkseid looking alien.
HOLY SHIT. Aliens actually exist. I can't believe this. Is this what the anime angels gave me? A death sentence? I always thought that what happened in anime, comics, and cartoons STAYS in anime, comics, and cartoons. I was wrong. We're all going to die.
Shit like slavery will start happening and people like Hitler will magically appear. No, shit like ‘Attack on Titan’ will happen and people like Kurumi will show up. I wish I could laugh it off and say what I'm thinking is unrealistic. However, I'm staring straight at the damn thing. Without knowing it, tears come out of my eyes.
"Why are you crying, um. Wait, Mr. Thomas told me about you a few minutes ago. Jovan?”
Mrs. Miller notices that I'm crying and sounds unconfident that she got my name right. Which, she didn't. Her question gets all of the students in class to look at me. This is humiliating. A 14 year old teenager is crying.
“Javon.”
I correct her while quickly wiping away my tears.
“So, we don't have a Jovan in this class?”
Mrs. Miller
“Sorry, Javon, what is the problem?”
I have to tell them. They probably won't believe me, still once they glance out the windows, they'll understand.
“Just look outside and you'll see.”
Mrs. Miller saunters to my side of the classroom and gazes out the windows.
“I don't see anything.”
What? She doesn't see anything? I am literally staring at the alien. Maybe, she's just ignorant. There's no way I'm the only person who can see it.
“Mrs. Miller, can you please get the rest of the students to look out the windows?”
I sincerely request.
“Alright, everyone, look out the windows.”
Mrs. Miller commands, sounding unassertive. Everyone, including Jovan, Jordan, Sebastian, Tyler, and David, gets out of their seats and walks over to my side of the classroom. They all gape out the windows.
“I don't see anything.”
“Same here.”
“Is there something we're supposed to be looking at?”
“Oh, I see a hooker.”
“That's who you wanted us to see.”
Five students comment with confused faces. Four other students get small nosebleeds when they spot the hooker.
“You pervert, you cried from seeing a hooker.”
Carol somehow concludes from looking out the windows.
“How does that make me a pervert?”
I retort after all of the girls give me furious looks.
“But, that's the only interesting thing out there.”
“Dude, did you really just call her a thing?”
Jordan questions Sebastian’s grammar. Well, I guess that settles it. I'm the only one who can see the alien. I'm the crazy person. This is horrible. What am I going to do?
“What the? Is that Darkseid?”
Jovan asks himself. He is staggered and frozen in thought. Yes! I'm not the only one who can see the alien! Jovan can see it too! I can tell by the look on his face.
“Okay, everyone, back to your seats.”
Mrs. Miller orders and everyone, except Jovan, goes back to their seat. Jovan walks to my desk.
“Is this the reason why you told everybody to look outside?”
Jovan whispers in my ear.
“Yeah.”
I answer Jovan's question while we both watch the Darkseid looking alien. We both have hopeless faces.
“Bob Belcher.”
Mrs. Miller calls out.
“Here.”
A male student replies.
“What the hell is it doing?”
Jovan observes the alien. It is just standing there.
“I don't know. Man, we have to get out of here.”
We mumble to each other while Mrs. Miller continues taking roll.
“Calm down, this isn’t the apocalypse.”
“You’re right. It’s doomsday. Seriously, we need to leave.”
How can he be so calm about this? An ALIEN is on Earth. Something IS going to happen. It’s just a matter of time.
“Jordan Clark.”
“Here.”
Jordan answers.
“The alien probably isn't here to destroy Earth. If it was, this school would already be demolished.”
We're talking about an alien. Enough of this crap, I am getting out of here. I get up from my seat.
“Mrs. Miller, can I go to the bathroom?”
I ask so I can leave the classroom.
“Wait, you don’t really have to go to the bathroom.”
Jovan quietly concludes with an irritated tone of voice.
“Uh, sure, make it quick. I have a lot to explain, Jo, Javon.”
“Thank you.”
I quickly exit the classroom. She almost got my name wrong again. I don't even have to look back to know that Jovan is furious. I'm sure he'll understand and follow my example. Staying here is almost like committing suicide.
“Wow, he really left me. Whatever.”
Jovan watches the Darkseid looking alien while acting like he's not bothered by anything.
“Jovan, can you please go back to your seat?”
Mrs. Miller requests.
“Okay, give me a second.”
The Darkseid looking alien unexpectedly looks up at Porcupine High School and sees Jovan.
“Jesus!”
Jovan automatically ducks his head like a bullet is coming to him.
“See, a second.”
Jovan tries to play it cool and goes back to his seat.
“Oh shit, I really hope he didn't see me.”
Jovan wishes in his head as he catches his breath. Suddenly, an explosion happens on the left side of the classroom. Some windows get destroyed and a few students get hurt in the process.
Jovan immediately gets up from his seat. He is stunned as he spots the Darkseid looking alien. He can't stop staring at it.
“Are you all okay?”
Mrs. Miller goes to the injured students, completely unaware of the alien. All of the students, including Jordan, Sebastian, Tyler, David, Carol, and Selena, are confused as to what is going on.
“The rest of you, help me get them out of the debris.”
Mrs. Miller orders the students. Everyone, except Jovan, assists Mrs. Miller. Jovan doesn't move a muscle.
“Wow, they really don't notice me. But, you do. And, your blood shows that you're related to Tamba Sankoh. So, tell me where the Aquos Crystal is.”
The Darkseid looking alien assumes and begins walking to Jovan.
“Oh my god, what can I do? Fight him? No way in hell. I'm really going to die. My death is going to be meaningless like the victims in Code Geass and the other dark anime.”
Jovan sadly concludes in his head with tears running down his face.
“Jo, why are you crying?”
Jordan ignorantly asks.
“Even worse, everyone here is going to die with no clue as to how they die!”
Jovan adds.
“I guess you're not going to answer me.”
The Darkseid looking alien attempts to punch Jovan with his left arm.
“Dammit, I can’t accept this! I have to move!”
Jovan begs himself. When the Darkseid looking alien’s fist gets closer to Jovan’s face, Jovan’s eye color magically turn blue and his pupils turn white. Jovan skillfully dodges the Darkseid looking alien’s punch by tilting his head to the right.
After that, the Darkseid looking alien tries to punch him with his right arm. Jovan blocks it with his left arm, however the impact of the punch sends him through the classroom and leaves a hole on a wall that outlines his body.
“Damn, that hurt.”
Jovan lands in the hallway, surrounded by the remains of the wall.
“At least, I know the alien doesn’t have the same powers as Darkseid. With my reflexes, I might stand against it. Damn, you, Javon.”
Jovan deduces since the alien didn’t attack him with Omega Beams. The Darkseid looking alien ambles through the hole in the classroom and aims to hit Jovan again.

“Javon, when did you get here?”
Jovan is very puzzled.
“Yeah, um, here’s the thing. I have superspeed.”
