Title | Cross Girl |
Content | (Author's note: I lost a bet with my "friend", Natsuki, about me co-authoring his novel last month, and now he wants me to start this random story that we talked about in class. Someone smack him for me.)
It was just like any other day. Commuting in the train along with the morning rush to get to class in time. Running on the streets and through the back alleys which was a shortcut I found out recently. And somehow, I was able to make it in time, just eight minutes before the first period starts.
"Yo. Mornin' Kira."
"O-oh... Good morning."
Looking at me from the window seat, was my close friend from middle school, Hiro. Coincidentally, I was seating on his right side so we tend to talk a lot before class starts.
Hiro, is a major otaku while I was influenced by him. Well, not really, I am passionate about anime and stuff but just as a hobby I do at home unlike this hardcore guy here. Okay, I love it but I don't show it outside, a closet-otaku in an essence, therefore Hiro was one of the few friends I can talk about my hobbies.
"You're almost late again. Haha. Did you stay up all night binge watching again?"
He was obviously making fun of me, I'll let him for now since I'm tired from running earlier.
"Shut up. I didn't. I was up trying to make up another submission."
"In pixie?"
"Yeah."
I nodded in response. I don't really watch many anime since I can't keep up with it, so I'm not really updated. But I do draw some fan-arts for an online art site, Pixie.
"Oh? I better check it up later."
"It's nothing erotic like you want. I'm not making those again!"
"Haha. I understand, even if you're a guy, you really lack the passion in drawing in that field."
Kuh. I really want to punch this guy. It's not that I hate it, it's just that I suck at drawing those details and poses. But I do prefer drawing those simple poses and cute styles.
Classes started. Just as the teacher came in, he wrote something on the board and then called someone from the outside. Apparently we had a transfer student, and a cute girl to boot! Her name was Alex. She looks like the timid-boyish type, with shoulder length hair and dark blue eyes.
And, of course, my friend beside me had his own thoughts.
Later, during break, Hiro decided to call me over to have a discussion about something. I can already make a few guesses.
"It's about the transfer student right?"
It seems I got that right since he frantically nodded and rushed me over.
"Let's not talk about it here."
Sigh. Although he openly declares his an otaku, he still takes precaution whenever it comes to this kinds of topic so as to not leave a bad impression. I tend to give him advice on this although I have no experience myself.
When we walked across the hallway towards, we headed for the bathroom. The typical place for some secret talks.
It was just then nothing felt out of place. But there was already something wrong. I don't know but there was definitely something wrong with what I'm doing now that I felt uneasy.
Just as we reached near the boys bathroom, I just realized what it was. Although there supposed to be nothing wrong with it.
"Wait. I can't go in there."
Why was it wrong? At this pint, even though I know, it just felt like 'why?'" Entering the boys bathroom was not right for me? I know it is possible, but for some reason it felt morally wrong for me.
"Huh? Oh right. You're a..."
Hiro also just realized and turned around to face me.
"..."
"..."
What is it? No. I know what he was about to say. I also realized this myself, Hiro definitely just did.
"Eh?"
"I'm sorry to say this but you're a girl."
Hiro quickly ran through his words.
I just noticed too but...
"EEEEEHHHH???????!!!???! |
