—Gasping for air, I wander around this village that is covered in flames.

Smoke escaping from inside the houses.

Hearing only the sound of the houses combusting and roofs collapsing.

With no one around me I thought to myself ‘Where am I? Why am I here? Is this all a dream?’ then with feeling of giving up I fell down on the ground.

I faced forward then in front of me was a silhouette of a man walking towards me.

As if the smoke was avoiding him, it clears away as he comes closer.

Stood before me and knelt, offering me his hand which was giving off a dark aura.

I glanced at his eyes, red, deep, and terrifying eyes sent chills down my spine.

Seeing my reaction he stood back up then I saw him say something.

I didn’t understand what he said but it made me feel really enraged.

I was about to stand up when my vision was rotating sideways and…

*Thud*

I opened my eyes with my face facing the wooden floor.

"Owww..."

My face hurts.

—Early in the morning, as per usual, I walk down the stairs and enter the bathroom then took a bath and brushed my teeth. After that, I changed into my usual black blazer with purple ends that I washed and dried last night and headed to the kitchen. I took an apple in the table then headed outside.

"I'm leaving, Dad."

I shouted not waiting for a reply I closed the door and then heard some people talking and shouting at the yard.

"You shouldn't even be here, damn girl. I didn't even invite you!"

"Who cares if you didn't invite me? If Suzu is going then I will as well. Got a problem with that?"

Those two are at each other's throats again even though it's this early in the morning...

I say that but it's already seven-thirty.

"You should calm down, Alex-kun. We should just let her come with us since this is a rare chance for us to go out of the village."

Haruko retorted as he was separating Alex and Mizuko who are close enough to rub their foreheads.

As I turned my gaze away from them, I noticed three girls who are sitting at the table near our garden...

I say garden but we only have four plants in there.

The small girl between them sighed and asked,

"Akemi-chan, Kasumi-chan, how much time 'till the carriage comes?"

"Ehehe... They won't be coming here because we haven’t secured a carriage yet."

"We'll be on our way after Hiroki comes out of the house. Ah! Speaking of the devil."

Akemi noticed me then the others turned to me as well.

Then the two loudmouthed creatures yelled,

"Hiroki! You're finally up, you bastard! What took you so long?! Did you forget what day today?!"

"You got some balls to make us wait. Why don't you come here, I'll give you a nice punch!"
