Description

Proofreading is last form of editing done before a book is published. A proofreader will look for obvious errors that a copy editor may have missed. This service is intended for books that are already edited. If there are too many errors in the manuscript, we may deny the service and request copy editing. We only edit books that are light novels or superhero books.

For this service, we charge $50 per 5,000 words, based on 1 cent per word. Since each order counts toward 5,000, you'll need to change the quantity of your order to match your book length. For example, if your book is 47,000 words long, you'll need to make 10 orders of this service.

Before you buy this service, please fill out the included form and submit your manuscript. Turnaround time is approximately two to four weeks after submission and payment. You must be at least 18 years old and own the rights to the book.

Agreement

This agreement is between the author paying for this service and Vic's Lab, LLC. Payment constitutes agreement of the following terms.

1. EDITORIAL TASKS

Edits for the manuscript will correspond to the description of editing outlined in order.

2. DELIVERY

Contingent upon submission of manuscript and payment, the edit of the manuscript is to be delivered to the Author approximately within the time outlined in the order.

3. PAYMENT

Orders are in 5,000 word increments. Edits will be made according to how many orders are paid for.

4. CONFIDENTIALITY

Vic's Lab, LLC, agrees not to reproduce, give, or show to anyone any material sent to her by the Author for editing purposes, unless a third party is contracted to fulfill editing.

6. LIMITATIONS

No guarantees are made as to the salability or marketability of the edited manuscript. Nor is there a guarantee that the manuscript will be completely error-free, though all efforts will be made to make it so. Unless an arrangement is made between the author and Vic's Lab, LLC, all royalties and monies gained by the sale of the book will be the sole property of the Author.

7. APPLICABLE LAWS

Both parties agree that this agreement shall be interpreted and governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia.

8. TERMINATION

Before the project is in process, either party may terminate this Agreement in the event of material change of circumstance with a written notice to the other party or request for cancellation. If cancellation of the order is requested before editing starts, Vic's Lab, LLC, will reimburse payment.

This agreement is made and entered into by and between the parties hereto on the date of completed purchase.
